Daily Dirt II – 9/24/21

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

Busy day. Here’s DD #2…

I have heard that Sean Hoehn has been hired as the new Director of Basketball Operations at Sacred Heart. Hoehn was a former player at Sacred Heart who was a first-team All-NEC performer as a senior in 2018-19. Last season he played professionally in Kosovo. An official announcement is expected shortly.

I mentioned in this morning’s Daily Dirt that it sounded like a JUCO in Tennessee had made a change. I have now heard through multiple sources that Cleveland State CC head coach Lee Cigliano is retiring. Cigliano had been the head coach at CSCC for the past 23 years, winning over 330 games during his tenure. Word on the street is that long-time assistant Rafael Howard is in line to be named as the interim head coach.

Former Northeastern standout Chaisson Allen has been named as the head coach of the G League’s Wisconsin Herd. Following his career at NU, he played professionally overseas before being hired in a player development role on Jim Larranaga’s staff at Miami, where he worked from 2016-18. More HERE.
