A few moves with head coaches at the JUCO level…

NJCAA D1

I have heard from multiple sources that Brian Hoberecht has resigned as the head coach at Kilgore College (TX). Hoberecht had spent the past 15-seasons at Kilgore, and was the head coach at Dodge City CC for seven years before that. This past season, he led his team to a 21-11 record, and holds a career mark of 382-238 as a JUCO head coach. More on this move once it becomes official.

NJCAA D2

Bryant and Stratton College (WI) has hired Charles Ruffing as their new head basketball coach. He will replace J.T. Gritzmacher, who became the head coach at NCAA D3 Wisconsin La Crosse late last month. Ruffing has served as an assistant at Marian University, Wisconsin Lutheran, Williston State, and Franklin College. He also spent some time as the head coach at West Bend East High School (WI).

NJCAA D3

I can confirm that Tom Weiler has resigned as the head coach at Sussex County CC (NJ), and will land as an assistant at NCAA D3 Waynesburg University (PA). Weiler recently completed his second season at Sussex County. At Waynesburg, he will reunite with head coach Tim Fusina, who he played for at D3 Centenary College (NJ). An official announcement is expected shortly.
