Some updates on a few on-going small college searches…

I have heard that D3 Colby-Sawyer College (NH) has narrowed down their list, with interviews happening this week. Names that I’ve heard here include: Will Brown (former Head Coach – Albany), Dan Kaigler (Assistant Coach – Rochester), Connor Merrill (Assistant Coach Middlebury), Shannon Sciria (Assistant Coach – Colby-Sawyer), and Aaron Toomey (Assistant Coach – Vassar).

It sounds like D3 Bard College (NY) is down to three finalists. I have heard that the group consists of: Felix Abongo (Assistant Coach – Bowdoin), A current D3 head coach from Pensylvania, and a prep school head coach from the South (you know I hate naming current head coaches – especially this late in the game). This one will be wrapped up soon.

I have heard that the leader at D3 Saint Elizabeth University (NJ) is Richmond video coordinator James Adams. He has been at Richmond since 2019, and also served as an assistant at D2 Georgian Court (NJ), and with the Jersey Express (ABA).

D3 SUNY Cobleskill (NY) has wrapped up phone interviews with 8 or 9 candidates. Not sure how many that group will be pared down to. Will know more shortly.

I have heard that JUCO Miami Dade College is done. Word on the street from multiple sources is that they will hire a former D1 assistant. More on this one soon…
