New Mexico DBO Cody Hopkins has been placed on paid leave as UNM conducts an internal investigation into the use of his university credit card. In a statement released by New Mexico VP for Athletics Paul Krebs, he said “We are working closely with Internal Auditing in assessing recent transactions from Hopkins’ purchasing card. We are requesting additional documentation and records from Hopkins, who is cooperating with the process. Once the audit is complete, all records will be reviewed by the proper authorities.” More on this as information becomes available.
