Pfeiffer University head basketball coach Jeremy Currier announced the hiring of Dave Feinstein as an assistant basketball coach.
“I have been impressed with Dave for a long time,” said Currier. “I recruited Dave 10 years ago as a high schools player because he was hard-working, intelligent, and had a passion for the game. All of those characteristics have carried over and shaped him into being a rising star in the college coaching profession. I am very excited to be adding someone like Dave to our coaching staff as we gear up for a very exciting 2017-18 season at Pfeiffer.”
Feinstein comes to Pfeiffer after spending the last two seasons at Division I Boston University. In 2015-16 Feinstein was hired as Special Assistant to head coach Joe Jones, as the Terriers won 19 games and earned a bid to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. In 2016-17 Feinstein served as the Video Coordinator at Boston University, in a season that saw the Terriers win 18 games, including a 12-6 record in the Patriot League.
“Dave is first and foremost one of the best young people I have met in this profession,” said Joe Jones, current head coach at Boston University. “His character and sense of others are unmatched. Hardworking, intelligent and committed are all adjectives that I would use to describe Dave. His presence will be sorely missed but we are all very happy for him.”
Prior to Boston University, Feinstein started his coaching career at his alma mater Londonderry High School, where he worked alongside New Hampshire Class L Coach of the Year Nate Stanton in leading the Lancers to an undefeated season and Class L State Championship. Feinstein helped develop New Hampshire State Class L Player of the Year Cody Ball, who now stars at NCAA Division II Saint Anselm College.
“I am extremely excited to join the coaching staff at Pfeiffer University,” said Feinstein. “Working alongside Coach Currier will help me grow as a basketball coach and a leader. I am eager to build off the great success of the basketball program from last season and have another historic year at Pfeiffer.”
A native of Londonderry, NH, he played collegiately at Daniel Webster College under legendary coach Dave Faucher. Feinstein received his degree in Sport Management from Daniel Webster and a Synergy Digital Video Editing Certification from Sports Management Worldwide in Portland, Oregon.
