Sources have confirmed to HoopDirt.com that Dan Hipsher is out as the head coach at Texas Rio Grande Valley.  The official announcement is expected shortly.

Hipsher came to UTRGV (formerly Texas Pan American) back in 2013 after a stint as the associate head coach at Alabama.  In his three seasons at UTRGV, he compiled a 27-66 record (8-22 this season.)  Hipsher has also been the head coach at Akron, Stetson, and Wittenberg, and served as an assistant at Arkansas, South Florida, and Dayton.
