I can now confirm that USC Aiken head coach Vince Alexander will become the head coach at St. Leo (FL).  Alexander was among three finalists that HoopDirt.com listed back on 5/29 (St. Leo Finalists).  He beat out former Bowling Green assistant Mark Downey and former Wisconsin Green Bay Brian Barone for the job.

In Alexander’s ten seasons as USC Aiken, he has compiled a 196-113 record.  His squad won 33 games on the way to an NCAA DII Final Four appearance in 2013-14.  Alexander was also the head coach at Mansfield (1999-2005), and holds a 285-187 in 16 seasons as a head coach.

The official announcement is expected tomorrow.
