After just one season, John Peckinpaugh is out as the head coach at Wheeling Jesuit, and will return to his home state of Indiana where he will take over at Noblesville HS.

Peckinpaugh went 9-21 (7-15 Mountain East) in his only season at WJU. He took over prior to last season after spending time as an assistant at DI Fort Wayne. Prior to that, Peckinpaugh was the head coach at NAIA DII Indiana Tech where he went 54-40 in three seasons.

The Indiana native played at Muncie Central.

An official announcement from WJU is expected tomorrow.
