An update on two DIII searches going on right now in New York State:

SUNY Potsdam: I have heard from multiple sources here who have told me that on-campus interviews are underway to find a replacement for former head coach Sherry Dobbs, Jr.  It sounds like there is a group of at least five still involved here.  The names that I have heard are: Jim Bechtel (head coach SUNY Canton), Joe Clarke (associate head coach SUNY Brockport), Don Chichester (assistant coach SUNY Geneseo), Serge Clement (assistant coach St. Peter’s / SUNY Potsdam alum), and Tim McLaughlin (assistant coach Rochester).

Utica: I have heard that the search to replace Chris Connolly will include a large group of candidates being brought to campus over the next week or so.  It sounds like as many as ten may visit. The names being mentioned are: Dan Bozzelli (assistant coach Depauw), Sean Burton (assistant coach Ithaca / former assistant at Utica), Brad Cooper (head coach Keystone College), Pete Durr (DBO Colgate), Jeff Gorski (head coach Clarkson / Utica alum), and Brandon Linton (assistant coach Army).  I’m still waiting on confirmation on other names – I’ll pass them on when I hear more.
