Here are updates on two ongoing DIII searches…

Baldwin Wallace (OH):  I can confirm that the search here is down to three candidates.  The leader is Defiance (OH) head coach Tom Heil – a former Baldwin Wallace assistant coach (2009-14).  This past season, his first at Defiance, he led his squad to a 22-7 record en route to winning the HCAC Tournament, and advancing to the second round of the NCAA DIII Tournament.  The other two finalists are both current DIII head coaches who interestingly enough work in the same conference.  More on this one as I hear it.

SUNY Purchase (NY): I have heard from great sources that Morrisville State (NY) assistant Kyle Martin is the choice here.  Before joining the Mustangs staff in 2012, he was an assistant at Hamilton College (NY).  Martin also spent time on the grassroots circuit serving as the head coach for the Upstate AAU basketball program.  I have heard that the official announcement could come as early as this week.
