I can confirm that The College of New Jersey will hire Amherst assistant Matt Goldsmith as their new head basketball coach.  The New Jersey native is a 2008 Amherst graduate who has been on the staff for three seasons.  During his seven years at the college, he won two National Championships (one as a player, one as a coach), and went to five Final Fours.  He will replace Kelly Williams who stepped away from basketball when he was named senior associate director of athletics for external affairs at TCNJ.  The official announcement is expected shortly.
