Former Tennessee Head Coach Donnie Tyndall Joins Raptors NBA D-League staff

Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, announced that Donnie Tyndall has been named as an assistant coach on head coach Jerry Stackhouse’s coaching staff.

Tyndall served as a college head coach for 10 seasons, where he averaged 21.6 wins per year and holds a Division I record of 186-118 (.612). He has been the head coach Morehead State (2006-12), Southern Mississippi (2012-14), and at the University of Tennessee (2014-15).

The Raptors also announced the hiring of player development coach Nicki Gross and video coordinator/player development coach John Corbacio. Assistant coaches David Gale and Nathanial Mitchell return to the bench for a second season.

Gross joins Raptors 905 from the Iowa Energy, where she spent last season as an assistant coach. She is currently the only female in a coaching capacity in the NBA Development League.

Corbacio is promoted to video coordinator/player development coach after volunteering with Raptors 905 in its inaugural season.
