University of Northern Colorado Men’s basketball head coach Jeff Linder has rounded out his staff for the 2019-20 season with what is a familiar name to many local fans. The Bears are proud to announce the addition of Dorian Green to the Bears basketball family.
“I’m excited to join the coach Linder, the staff and the players at Northern Colorado,” said Green. “I am looking forward to helping contribute to the program in any way possible.”
Originally from Lawrence, Kan., Green played his college ball at Colorado State where he helped lead the Rams to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. He is the sixth all-time leading scorer in CSU history and fourth all-time in assists.
“I loved my time in Colorado and am so happy to be back in the front range area and to be part of the University of Northern Colorado and the Greeley community,” Green said.
Most recently, Green served as a member of Tim Miles staff at the University of Nebraska. After leaving CSU, he spent time playing overseas and coaching at Furman University.
“We are really excited to have Dorian join the coaching staff,” said Linder “He was a great player at Colorado State who knows what it takes to win at a high level having played in two NCAA Tournaments. His knowledge and passion for the game will be a tremendous asset to our program and players.”
Green replaces Vinnie McGhee who left UNC for the University of San Francisco after three seasons on the Bears bench.
