Tim Floyd will be announced as the Head Coach at UTEP today at a 6:00 press conference. Floyd is currently an assistant with the New Orleans Hornets. He was previously an assistant at UTEP from 1978-86 under the legendary Don Haskins. Floyd resigned as the Head Coach at USC in 2009 amid allegations that he gave money to a person close to O.J. Mayo. UTEP has cleared his hiring with the NCAA and has received assurances that Floyd will not be penalized in conjunction with any accusations at USC.
