Former Adrian Head Coach Lindsay joins Trine Basketball Staff

The Trine University men’s basketball team and head coach Brooks Miller have announced the hiring of assistant coach Kyle Lindsay heading into the 2022-23 season.

Most recently, Lindsay was the head coach at fellow Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) school, Adrian College. From 2016-2021, he led his alma mater to their first MIAA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019-20. In the classroom, his teams held a 3.0+ Team GPA for three consecutive semesters.

Lindsay was on staff for the Trine men’s basketball team as an assistant from 2011-2016. He was also an assistant at Illinois College from 2010-2011 and an assistant boys basketball coach at Ottawa Hills High School from 2008-2010.

“We are excited to welcome Kyle and his daughter Scout back to our Thunder family here at Trine,” Coach Miller said. “Kyle is a proven winner in our conference as both an assistant and head coach. His experience will have a tremendous impact on the development of our student athletes both on and off the floor. Coach Lindsay has been responsible for recruiting and developing some of the best players in the MIAA the past 10 years, including Will Dixon, who was a three-time First Team All-MIAA performer that scored 1799 points for our program.”
