Former DePaul standout Marlon London has been named as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Lewis University. London brings 13+ years of coaching experience to Scott Trost’s staff.
London comes to Lewis following a five-year stint as a assistant boys basketball coach for perennial local powerhouse St. Joseph’s High School in Westchester, Ill.
While there, London played a key role in helping the Chargers to the 2015 IHSA Class 3A State Championship and saw seven of his student-athletes receive NCAA Division I scholarships.
One of those student-athletes was Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Evan Turner, who was drafted No. 2 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Following his graduation from DePaul (’03), London continued his playing career internationally with stops in Estonia, Spain and Mexico.
