Georgetown University AD Lee Reed has issued the following statement in support of head basketball coach Patrick Ewing:

Ewing’s Hoyas have struggled this season – they are currently 6-22 (0-17 Big East). In his five seasons as the head coach at his alma mater, Ewing has gone 68-81 (.456), with his best season coming in 2018-19, when he led his squad to a 19-14 record.

This statement seems to end the speculation of Ewing’s job status when the season ends next week.
