Rivier men’s basketball head coach Tom Glynn announced the promotion of Kenny Stocklinski to Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator following three seasons as an assistant with the program, and the addition of Josh Gonzalez to the staff.
In his expanded role, Stocklinski will focus on offensive development and schemes, while continuing to play a key role in opposition scouting.
“This is a well-earned promotion for Kenny,” said Glynn. “He’s one of the brightest young coaches I’ve had the privilege of working with.”
Glynn also welcomes Gonzalez to his staff as an assistant coach. Gonzalez comes from O’Bryant High School, where he serves as the junior varsity head coach and a varsity assistant, while also coaching on the AAU circuit with Middlesex Magic. He has been heavily involved in scouting, player development, and recruiting, and has built a strong reputation for individualized skill training and film analysis.
On the AAU level, Gonzalez has helped guide teams to 14 tournament championships, while at O’Bryant he has contributed to an Elite Eight appearance and a state tournament berth, bringing valuable experience and regional connections to the Rivier program.
“I am thrilled to add Josh to our staff,” said Glynn. “I have known Josh for a long time. He is hard-working and exceptional in player development. He will add tremendous value to our program both on the court and with his knowledge of the high school and club basketball landscape in the region.”
Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Bruce Marchand will also return for his fourth season on the staff and second in his expanded role.
