Pratt Institute has named Guy Cherenfant as Assistant Coach for men’s basketball, the school announced Friday.
Prior to Pratt, Cherenfant served on the coaching staff of both Nichols College and Holy Cross. At Nichols, Cherenfant held the position of student-manager for a Bison squad that went 92-23 during his tenure, including winning both the Commonwealth Coast Conference’s regular and tournament championships for the 2016-17 season.
At Holy Cross, Cherenfant served in the role of Assistant Manager, supporting the Division I Crusaders in all facets of their basketball operations.
“I am very excited to have Guy join us at Pratt,” said head coach Max Sass. “He comes very highly recommended as a rising coach with great passion and an unyielding work ethic. His experience working with winning teams and highly regarded coaching staffs at Nichols College and Holy Cross make him a valuable asset as we continue the process of turning Pratt men’s basketball into an elite, first-class program.”
Cherenfant, a native of Dennis, MA, holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Nichols College.
