Truman State University men’s basketball coach Jeff Horner will not return next season. A national search for his successor will begin immediately.
The University and Horner have agreed to part ways. Horner led the Bulldogs for seven seasons, during which the team achieved several successes, including an NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearance. Assistant Coach Vince Grier will serve as interim head coach, overseeing day-to-day operations until a new head coach is appointed.
The Truman State University men’s basketball program has a rich history, and the University anticipates a competitive field of highly qualified candidates for the position.
