HoopDirt.com can confirm multiple reports that Oklahoma assistant Steve Henson will be named as the next head coach at UTSA.  He will be the second Oklahoma assistant to become a head coach at a Texas school this week, as we have also heard that Lew Hill is headed to UTRGV (BREAKING: Oklahoma Assistant Lew Hill to be Named Next Head Coach at UTRGV).  HoopDirt.com has mentioned Henson as a candidate for the UTSA job multiple times over the past week.

Henson has been a long-time assistant to Oklahoma head coach Lon Krueger.  The former Kansas State standout, has also worked with Krueger at UNLV, Illinois, and with the Atlanta Hawks.  Henson would replace Brooks Thompson who was fired back in March.

The official announcement is expected as early as today.
