ESPN.com has been the first to report that Maryland-Baltimore County has fired head coach Aki Thomas.  The Retrievers just wrapped up a 7-25 (3-13 America East) season with a loss last night to Stony Brook in the AE Tournament.

Thomas had been the head coach at UMBC since 2012 when he took over on an interim basis after serving as an assistant at the school for the previous five seasons.  He will wrap up his tenure with a 28-95 overall record.
