West Virginia University basketball coach Bob Huggins announced today two title changes and a new hire for the men’s basketball staff.
Josh Eilert, who enters his 11th season with the WVU men’s basketball program, will serve as Director of Basketball Operations. He spent the first six seasons as the Video Coordinator and the last four seasons as Coordinator of Basketball Operations.
Jay Kuntz, who has spent nine years with the Mountaineer basketball program, will serve as Assistant to the Head Coach. He has served as Coordinator of Player Development the last two years and was a graduate assistant for three years and a four-year student manager from 2008-12.
James Long, a member of the Mountaineer basketball team from 2015-17, will serve as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Long graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2016 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management.
“All three of these individuals have had an integral part in the success of Mountaineer basketball,” Huggins said. “These changes open up tremendous opportunities for Josh, Jay and James, and I know they will take full advantage of their roles.”
