The Hutchinson Community College men’s basketball team had another come-from-behind victory on Saturday in an 86-77 victory over Allen Community College and in the process gave Blue Dragon head coach Steve Eck a milestone victory.
Eck collected his 500th coaching win at an NJCAA institution – Eck has coached at Butler, Redlands, Cowley and Hutchinson – and now has a junior college coaching record of 500-90. His record at Hutchinson is 178-38.
His overall coaching record is 828-124 in his 36th year of coaching at all levels.
In his seventh season of leading the Blue Dragons in 2015-16, Eck has already climbed the Blue Dragon coaching ladder to the fifth rung in all-time HCC coaching wins.
