I have heard from great sources that Brown University will name Brendan Smith as their new Director of Basketball Operations. He will replace former DBO John Mariano who departed the staff last month.

Smith had spent the past three seasons as an assistant to legendary head coach Herb Magee at Philadelphia University. Before that, he was a graduate assistant at Penn State (2011-13).

An official announcement is expected shortly.
