Southern Miss men’s basketball coach Doc Sadler has announced that Jake Stoffers has been named the team’s video coordinator for the 2017-18 season.

“I’ve been very fortunate in my young career to work with great people,” Stoffers said. “The amount I’ve learned from Coach Sadler the last couple years has been invaluable. I’m excited to continue with Southern Miss basketball and look forward to the upcoming season.”

Stoffers was a graduate assistant on the staff the previous two seasons before earning his master’s degree in sport management in May. His duties ranged from assisting in travel operations, scouting, social media, recruiting, on-floor coaching and various other facets of the program. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State, where he was a student manager for five years under head coach Fred Hoiberg. He also was on the same staff as Sadler in the 2013-14 season, when the Sweet 16 Cyclones went 28-8 and won the Big 12 title.

“It’s really good to be able to promote people in your program when they have earned it,” Sadler said. “He is going to do a terrific job and is going to be very successful in this business.”
