Vermont Academy is accepting applications for an intern position with the men’s basketball team for the 2018-2019 season. This position includes room/board, meal plan and stipend.

Founded in 1876, Vermont Academy is a private boarding school that serves grades 9-12.  Since 2015, the men’s basketball program has matriculated student-athletes to Butler, Miami, Vanderbilt, Butler, Tufts, VCU, Arizona, Colby, Louisville, Carnegie Mellon, Xavier, Jacksonville, Missouri, UVM, Manhattan, William & Mary, Harvard, U Chicago, and many more. In 2018, Vermont Academy produced an NBA player (Bruce Brown, class of 2016, now with the Detroit Pistons) and a McDonald’s All-American (Simisola Shittu, class of 2018, now at Vanderbilt). In 2016, the Wildcats won the prestigious New England Prep School Championship.

The 2018-2019 Vermont Academy Men’s Basketball team has a point guard ranked in the top 50 of the 2020 class, and several other Division 1 prospects.  The roster includes student-athletes from  Seattle [WA], Toronto [Canada], Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Sydney [Australia].  This winter season, the Wildcats are scheduled to play 30+ games in arguably the best high school league in the country [NEPSAC].

Duties and responsibilities: coaching, inbound marketing, scheduling, coaching, and corporate social responsibility.
