The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Coach Men’s Basketball and must demonstrate the ability to work within a program with longstanding tradition of excellence in both athletics and academics with integrity and energy.
Responsibilities include:
Recruiting quality student athletes qualified to participate in NCAA Division I Athletics;
Participate, with appropriate staff, in the monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes participating in the men’s basketball program;
Participate in the training of student athletes during all scheduled practices and games;
Assist in the scheduling of the competitive season, where appropriate;
Assist in planning comprehensive pre and post season conditioning activities;
Assist in the development of strategies to motivate maximum levels of individual and team performance, along with appropriate personal and social conduct;
Assist in team travel arrangements
Adherence to all NCAA and MAAC rules and regulations, including the NCAA Certification examination.
