Description:

This position coordinates and oversees daily activities associated with the University’s on-campus recruiting program for basketball. The incumbent prepares and maintains itineraries for official and unofficial visits, coordinates and manages campus ambassadors, and assists coaches with travel and logistics.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Prepares and maintains itineraries for official and unofficial visits.
  • Coordinates and oversees daily activities associated with the university’s on-campus recruiting program.
  • Collaborates with university personnel involved in prospective student athlete visits.
  • Coordinates with Admissions and Compliance on the use of university campus ambassadors.
  • Assigns tasks and coordinates efforts of campus ambassadors assisting with basketball.
  • Manages and approves time for recruiting assistant/student workers.
  • Assists coaches with recruiting travel and logistics.
  • Schedules and organizes meetings with staff members and coaches for review and planning related to campus recruiting activities.
  • Assists basketball operations with camp and banquet organization including registration and duties.
  • Solicits, gathers, reviews, and edits information on prospective student athletes.
  • Reviews and edits multi-media clips of prospective student athletes.
  • Develops recruiting boards and communicates with recruiting coach on board adjustments.
  • Serves as a liaison with Ole Miss Sports Productions in designing graphics and assisting with production and distribution of graphic designs.
  • Coordinates with compliance staff to ensure activities associated with on-campus recruiting and unofficial on-campus visits are in compliance with University, NCAA, and SEC recruitment regulation.
  • Ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

2. Prepares and maintains itineraries for official and unofficial visits.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

AND

Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.

Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
