Description:

The University of Portland is a National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I institution and West Coast Conference (WCC) member. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball program in support of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position with benefits. Benefits include: medical & dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, sick & vacation time, tuition remission benefits starting after 90 days (employee) or 2 years (spouse and children) of employment, retirement contributions after 2 years of employment, and eligibility for the University’s home purchase assistance program consistent with program requirements. This position will require working long, flexible, and/or irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays when necessitated by projects and games. This position also will require travel to away games.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate, lead, and implement facilities scheduling, equipment ordering, camp planning, and travel and meals related to the men’s basketball program.

Coordinate, lead, and implement marketing activities for the men’s basketball program.

Coordinate, lead, and implement community service activities related to the men’s basketball program.

Engage in projects and tasks related to compliance by the men’s basketball program with all applicable policies and procedures, including those of the NCAA, WCC, and University.

Coordinate and assist with recruitment related activities for the men’s basketball program.

Other duties as relevant to the duties of the position or as assigned by supervisor or supervisor’s designee.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor’s degree.

Required: Three years of relevant club or collegiate experience.

Or a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.

Certifications and Licenses

Active driver’s license.
