To assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, evaluating for the men’s basketball team during transition of vacant coaching positions; assist with administrative tasks related to the men’s basketball program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implements coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athlete’s athletic skills and analyzes performance of student-athletes during times of transition in coaching staff; assists the recruiting coordinator in the recruiting process including arrangement of meals and entertainment, arrangement of transportation, arrangement and conducting of tours, preparation and review of recruiting documentation.

Coordinates the daily recruiting operational and logistical processes; identifies, evaluates, collects data, collects video, etc. on prospects to provide direction to the Coaching Staff through available and permissible sources (e.g., recruiting services, internet, event website, etc.); coordinates updates to the recruiting database; monitors permissible recruiting websites at direction of the coaching staff to provide them with updates on committed prospects and prospects coaches identify.

Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
