Responsibilities include organizing, developing and administering all phases of the men’s basketball program, including recruitment, budget management, on-floor coaching, and the supervision of an assistant coach. The successful candidate will teach in our required Physical Education program. Candidates must be committed to a philosophy of being an educator, building a successful, respected program, and exhibit a strong commitment toward adhering to the policies and guidelines of Washington and Lee’s Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation Department, NCAA, and ODAC. Emphasis on academic priorities for student-athletes as well as the importance of good citizenship both on and off the playing field will also be considered.

A bachelor’s degree and five years of college basketball coaching or equivalent is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
