Earlier this season, Lasell handed the Johnson & Wales University men’s basketball team its worse loss to a GNAC opponent in over four years. The Wildcats turned the tables Thursday night as they got out to a lead midway through the first half and wouldn’t relinquish it on their way to an 83-69 victory.
The victory also marked the 200th career win for Johnson & Wales head coach Jamie Benton. In his 13th season at the helm of the Wildcats, Benton has a 200-144 record. His first win at JWU was a 76-70 triumph against the Coast Guard Academy on November 19, 2004 in his head coaching debut.
