I teased this move on X late last week….
I can now confirm that NJCAA D1 Clarendon College has hired Blake Cochran as their new head men’s basketball coach.
Cochran has spent that past two seasons as the head coach at NJCAA D2 Fort Scott Community College where he went 41-24. This past season, he led the Greyhounds to a 22-11 record this past season, and made an appearance in the Region XI Championship game. Prior to his time at FSCC, Cochran had been on the staff at D1 Northwestern State. He has also worked at FSCC, Southwestern Assemblies of God University and at his alma mater McMurry University (TX).
Cochran will replace Hunter Jenkins who took over as the head coach at Frank Phillips College back in early May.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
