I can confirm multiple reports that Panola head coach Mike Nesbitt is headed to High Point as an assistant coach. He will be reunited there with new HPU head coach Alan Huss, who was Nesbitt’s coach in high school at La Lumiere School (IN).

Last season was Nesbitt’s first at Panola, where he led the his team to a 28-5 (17-2) record. Before his time at PC, Nesbitt spent two seasons on the staff at Bradley. He also previously worked as an assistant at Panola (2018-2019), and spent time at New Mexico Junior College, and worked as a graduate assistant at New Mexico.

I have heard that Panola intends to promote current assistant Joe Kuligoski to head coach. He joined Nesbitt’s staff last spring after spending two seasons at Highland CC (IL) as an assistant.
