JUCO DIRT: Preziosa steps down as Head Basketball Coach at Quinsigamond Community College

I can confirm that NJCAA D3 Quinsigamond Community College head basketball John Preziosa has stepped down from his position. The veteran head coach intends to spend more time with family while exploring options closer to home.

Preziosa, who took over at QCC back in 2021, had led the Wyverns to back-to-back Region 21 semi-final appearances, winning 30 games over the past two seasons.

Before his time at Quinsigamond, Preziosa had worked as the head coach at both Bunker Hill Community College and Wheelock College, and had stints as an assistant coach at Salem State University and Emmanuel College.

It sounds like current Quinsigamond assistant coach Bob Merhi will take over for Preziosa. In addition to his duties at QCC, Merhi had most recently been coaching with the Boston Warriors (AAU).

More on this move once it becomes official.
