Former Endicott men’s basketball standout and CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year Lance Greene ’13 (Dorchester, Mass.) has joined the Gulls’ coaching staff for the 2015-16 season.

“I am very excited to add Lance Greene to our coaching staff.  Lance was a great student-athlete at Endicott and is familiar with what it takes to excel here,” said Endicott men’s basketball head coach Kevin Bettencourt. “He was a leader on a championship team and will help pass along his knowledge and experiences to the guys in our program now.  More importantly, Lance is a hard worker, proud alum and person of high character who will be a great representative of our program.”

During his stellar four-year career at Endicott, Greene compiled 1,268 points (14.1 points per game), 298 assists, 182 steals, and shot .460 from the field (437-for-949), .360 from beyond the arc (58-for-161), and .718 at the free throw line (336-for-468). Greene currently ranks first in program history in free throws attempted, second in free throws made and steals, fourth in scoring average and assists per game (3.3), fifth in total assists, and sixth in points and offensive rebounds (139).

Greene also earned three CCC All-Conference selections, a nod to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region team in 2010-11, and one CCC Academic All-Conference honor along with his CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, which he received at the conclusion of the 2012-13 season.

As a team during his four-year career, the Gulls went 58-48 overall, captured one CCC Championship title in 2011-12, made an appearance in one NCAA Tournament (2011-12), and also earned three berths into the CCC Tournament.

Endicott posted a 23-6 overall record/16-2 CCC mark in 2014-15, won its sixth conference championship with a 90-60 victory over Wentworth and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history.
