Lenhard added to West Florida Basketball Staff

UWF Head Men’s Basketball Coach Justin Mann has announced the addition of Nick Lenhard to his coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 season. Lenhard will serve as the assistant coach for the Argonauts.
“I am excited about Coach Lenhard joining the Argo Basketball family”, Mann stated.  “He will be a vital part of the men’s basketball program as he brings a wealth of knowledge on the defensive side of the game.  He knows how to build relationships with his players which is vital to the world of basketball right now.  He helped build Cloud County into a Jayhawk (Conference) contender and he knows how to change the culture of a program.”
Lenhard joins UWF from Cloud County Community College where he led the T-Birds to 37 wins over a two-year span. Cloud County went 21-11 record this past season, which included a NJCAA Region VI Tournament appearance.  Lenhard’s defenses were ranked among the top five in the country at the NJCAA Division 1 Level. In 2023-24, the T-Birds held opponents to 62.7 points per game, marking a five-point decrease from the previous season.  Four of his players moved on to the NCAA Division I and II levels.
Prior to his two years at Cloud County, Lenhard was a part of the coaching staffs at both St. Ambrose and Castleton.
“I am very fortunate and honored to be named as the assistant men’s basketball coach at UWF”, said Lenhard.  “I want to thank Associate Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Dave Scott, and Head Coach, Justin Mann, for the opportunity at UWF.  I have always admired how Coach Mann has taken care of his student-athletes and ran his programs.  I want to continue to learn and better myself under his guidance and I look forward to helping serve our program and community in any way possible.”
