St. Joe’s Head Coach Phil martelli has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the school through the 2015-2016 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Martelli has been named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year four times and in 2004, was the National Coach of the Year after guiding the Hawks to a 30-2 record and the NCAA Elite Eight. Martelli has taken the Hawks to the postseason nine times, with five NCAA Tournament berths and four in the NIT.
