I have now heard from multiple sources that former Siena assistant basketball coach Greg Manning, Jr. will be named as the video coordinator at the University of Maryland. He will fill the spot vacated by Mark Bialkoski who was elevated to DBO earlier this month.

Manning had spent the past five seasons on Jimmy Patsos’ staff at Siena, and was not retained after Patsos resigned back on April 13th. He also played for Patsos at Loyola (MD) (2004-08), and joined the Greyhounds staff after graduation.

Manning’s father, Greg Manning, Sr., played for Lefty Driesell at Maryland (1977-81) and scored 1,561 career points for the Terps.

An official announcement is expected this week.
