Former Maryville College basketball standouts Alex Bowers and Raul Placeres are returning to their alma mater as assistant coaches. Bowers will be hired as the full-time assistant coach and Placeres will be the part-time assistant. Bowers in a 2008 graduate and this will be his first college gig. Placeres went 80-40 as the head coach for Gatlinburg-Pittman HS during his four year tenure.
