Midland College (NJCAA D1) head men’s basketball Tra Arnold has stepped away from his coaching duties temporarily according to a release by the school. The decision was made by Arnold so that he could focus on his health and spend time with his family.
“Midland College fully supports Coach Arnold,” said President Damon Kennedy. “We will continue to encourage our staff and faculty to prioritize their health.”
Assistant coaches Isaac Fontenot-Amedee and Stanimir Zivulj will take over Arnold’s coaching duties in the interim.
Arnold took over at Midland back in 2022, had had put together a 59-31 mark over his 2+ years at the helm, including an 11-4 record this season.
There is no timetable on his return.
