Three Division I head coaches reached milestone victories over the past few days…
- With #4 Virginia’s 100-64 win over Marshall yesterday, head coach Tony Bennett recorded his 300th career win (231st at Virginia) to become the 80th active DI head coach with 300 or more wins.
- Richard Pitino collected his 100th victory at Minnesota last week with an 86-67 win over NC A&T. He collected win #101 on Sunday, and now has a career record of 119-94 (5+ seasons at Minnesota, 1 at FIU).
- Hofstra Head Coach Joe Mihalich recorded his 100th victory at Hofstra in his 179th game on Saturday with a win over Dexel. He ties Tom Pecora as the fifth-fastest Hofstra coach to 100 victories. Mihalich now has 365 career victories in his 21+ seasons as a DI head coach.
