Brandon Lincoln, who completed his third season as a Montana State men’s basketball assistant coach this spring, has accepted the position of head coach at Providence High School in Burbank, California.
“I couldn’t be happier for Brandon,” Bobcat head coach Brian Fish said. “He did a great job for us and will be a tremendous head coach. He will have a big positive impact on the lives of young people he coaches.”
Lincoln came to MSU from the University of Oregon, his alma mater (BA in Political Science, 2006 and ME in Education Leadership, 2012) in the spring of 2014. He worked as a Ducks men’s basketball assistant conditioning coach in 2013-14 after previously serving as a graduate assistant manager (2010-11) and video coordinator (2011-12). In between stints at Oregon, Lincoln was Director of Video Operations at Miami (Ohio) in 2012-13.
The Portland native enjoyed a stellar playing career with the Ducks from 2003-06. He played on the school’s 2003-04 NCAA Tournament team and an NIT Final Four squad the next season. During his time at MSU Lincoln earned praise from Fish as a recruiter and in helping student-athletes in skill development.
Fish indicated the process of rounding out his coaching staff is underway.
