I can confirm that NAIA Central Baptist College will promote assistant Sam Kohnke to head coach. Kohnke, who has been on the Mustangs staff since last summer, will replace his former boss Clint Galyean, who became the new head coach at NAIA Wayland Baptist University last week.

Before joining the CBC staff, Kohnke served as the associate head coach at D3 Millsaps College for two seasons. He had also spent time at Tulane, and worked with the New Orleans Blazers (AAU).

An official announcement is expected today.
