HoopDirt.com has learned that Freed-Hardeman University (TN) will name Jim Sanderson as the Lions new head basketball coach. He will replace Jason Shelton who resigned at the beginning of May. Sanderson, the son of former Alabama head coach Wimp Sanderson, spent 24-years as the head coach at Faulkner University (AL). During his time at Faulkner, he compiled a 481-297 record and captured the 2001 NAIA National Championship. An official announcement is expected with in the next few days.
