I can confirm that current Stacy Hollowell is no longer the head coach at NAIA National Champion Loyola University New Orleans.
This past season, Hollowell led Loyola to a 37-1 (17-1) record, and captured the SSAC championship on their way to the national title. For his efforts this past season, Hollowell was tabbed as the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Year, the NAIA Coach of the Year by the NABC, and the 2022 Don Meyer National Coach of the Year.
He joined the Loyola staff as an assistant back in 2010, and was elevated to head coach in 2014 following the retirement of Dr. Michael Giorlando. Hollowell won 166 games over his eight seasons as the Wolf Pack head coach.
Word on the street is that he will be joining the staff of an SEC school in some type of administrative role.
More on this move when it becomes official.
