I can confirm that Kelvin Starr is no longer the head men’s basketball coach at NAIA powerhouse The Master’s University (CA).

Starr had been the head coach of the Mustangs for the past six seasons where he had tremendous success. During his tenure at TMU, he was named as the NABC NAIA Division 1 Coach of the Year in 2017-18, and captured the GSAC Coach of the Year award twice (2017-18, 2018-19). He wraps-up his stint with a 147-38 mark.

Starr also had a 5-year stint as the head coach at San Diego Christian College, where he went 104-60.

Assistant coach Evan Jenkins has taken over as the interim head coach at TMU. A 2016 alum of the school, Jenkins had been on Starr’s staff for the past four seasons.
