A great source has told HoopDirt.com that within the past hour, NC State has offered their vacant assistant position to Tennessee Martin head coach Heath Schroyer. In his two seasons at UTM, Schroyer has put together back-to-back 20 win seasons.  He has also been the head coach at Wyoming and Portland State, and served as an assistant at UNLV.

The spot at NC State opened when Bobby Lutz stepped down to accept an administrative spot within the athletic department.  Originally, FGCU head coach Joe Dooley was rumored to be involved in the position. There is no word on whether Schroyer will accept the position or not.
