New York Small College Dirt…

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

I can confirm two jobs that are now open in New York:

  • John Pelin is no longer the head coach at Hunter College in NYC. I have heard that he has been hired as the AD at The Dwight School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Pelin had been at Hunter for the past eight seasons, and spent seven years on the staff at NYU before that. He also served as the Associate AD for budget and finance at Hunter. An official announcement is expected shortly.
  • USCAA Paul Smith’s College is also open, as head coach Josh Clemens will become an assistant at D3 Allegheny College (PA). Clemens had been an assistant at PSC before taking over as the head coach back in 2019. Last season, Clemens’ squad advanced to the Yankee Conference semifinals.

Search Update:

  • I have heard that on-campus interviews are underway at D3 Bard College. Sounds like they will stretch into next week, with at least two current NY area head coaches in the mix. More on this one shortly.
